of the original order left, the overcarton (we tossed the shipping carton) went on a shelf in our aft cabin, where we sleep.

We'd noted, on our original order, that the smell of citronella was notable even in a closed container. Over the 3 years we've had the original order, that went away, while the candles themselves continued to work as they should, burning every bit of the wax, leaving only the metal retainer for the wick.

But, amusingly for us, apparently the off-gassing of the new order is enough to deter all biting insects throughout the boat, even though it's in the aft cabin.

So, our original order will last until the outgassing stops, perhaps not before the bug season ends here in S. FL or the Bahamas, which is where we are most of the time.

So, in both parts, Quick itself, and their citronella votives, a hearty thumbs up. We'll be back in another few years.

We included these candles as part of a wedding favor with custom matches and a personalized mason jar- just add some sand to make a nice holder! The candles have a rich scent and burn well, and the white color looks good- they are a great addition to an outdoor summer table.

The wick is too dainty to stay lit in an outdoor environment. Citronella candles are for outdoor use yet these candles will not stay lit in the slightest of breezes. I suggest the citronella scent version be manufactured with a thicker wick that will work better in an outdoor environment.

I purchased the white citronella candles for my daughter's outdoor wedding. When confronted with a shipping issue, I received wonderful customer service, and the matter was resolved quickly and the utmost professionalism. I would recommend this company to my friends, and I will definitely order from quick candles in the future.

These are the best citronella candles ever. The color white is much prettier that the orange. We keep one or more lit on our screened porch most of the time in warm weather. I just wish more of our neighbors used Quick Candles. No one can beat the price or the effectiveness to repel mosquitoes.

Plan to keep them in a place where the citronella odor won't annoy you. I have an old styrofoam cooler and put them in that in my garage since they have quite a potent smell; plan to use them for our Memorial Day barbecue, once lit they last a long time. Great.
